DESCRIPTION:The Toledo Plant Exchange invites gardeners with any level of experience to take part in our annual plant exchanges this spring. Come sunshine\, rain\, sleet\, or even snow the Toledo plant exchange takes place at the Lucas County Fairgrounds on the morning of Saturday\, May 2nd. \nThe rules of the exchanges are simple: all attendees get five free plants just for stopping by (while supplies last)\, no money needed. Attendees are encouraged to bring plants from their own gardens and/or any gently used garden items to exchange for additional plants. Any plants that you’d like to bring need to be clearly labeled\, weed-free\, and non-invasive. \nDrop off for plants and items begins at 8:30am and lasts until 10:00am\, volunteers will unload your vehicle for you. Doors open to the informational booths at 9am. Plant distribution takes place from 10am to 11am\, the event may end early if all of the plants find new homes. \nWe hope to see you there!

Metroparks outdoor experts will be on hand to guide you in discovering your next outdoor passion\, while Mercy Health professionals will showcase how time in nature supports mental and physical health. Mercy Health will also offer on-site health screenings and resources\, including the mobile mammography van. \nThis is an inclusive event with staff trained to provide accommodations\, including a low sensory zone and adaptive equipment for all abilities.
