SUMMARY:Mustering Memory: 160 Years of Saluting the Civil War
DESCRIPTION:Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center | April 14 through April 2023 \nIf anything is certain\, it is that for 160 years\, the United States has been uncertain with how best to remember the Civil War. Each generation has handled the war’s legacy in its own way\, often reflecting its own values and experiences in doing so. While the debate will continue on how this difficult subject should be remembered\, “Mustering Memory: 160 Years of Saluting the Civil War” provides the often-overlooked history of how people have chosen and still choose to remember the Civil War. From the aged veterans who walked on the fields of Gettysburg for its 50th anniversary to modern enthusiasts who use their vacation time reliving famous battles or scouring Civil War antique shows\, this exhibit offers context on where Civil War memory has been and insights for those interested in engaging with it today. \nThe exhibit will be open during regular museum hours\, which are available at rbhayes.org. Members are admitted for free. For non-members\, access to the exhibit is included with regular admission.

The fact that everyone can relate to her comedy has made her a hit even among the strangest of audiences. \n\n\nWhile performing in San Antonio she was asked to appear at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival and shortly thereafter appeared on ABC’s The View in a hilarious housewife segment. Leanne appeared as a finalist on Nick at Nite’s Funniest Mom and toured for three years with the Southern Fried Chicks. She has appeared in comedy clubs\, performing arts centers\, and theatres all over the United States. She had a contract with Warner Brothers and ABC to develop a sitcom based on her comedy and also collaborated with legendary writer/producer Matt Williams (“Roseanne\,” “Home Improvement”) on a half-hour comedy project. \nShe counts as her celebrity fans\, Dr. Phil and Paula Deen and has appeared on both their shows. Leanne and fellow comic Reno Collier recently co-hosted Chewing the Fat\, a weekly radio show on Sirius XM/Blue Collar Radio and her comedy is in rotation every day on Sirius comedy channels. \nIn addition to her solo show\, she also tours as part of the comedy trio Country Cool\, along with headliners Karen Mills and Trish Suhr. SUMMARY:ProMedica Summer Concert Series: Justin Moore
DESCRIPTION:Promenade Park | 6:15 \nProMedica Live Summer Concert Series.\nGates open at 5. Tickets at TicketMaster.com. \nJustin Moore is no stranger to chart-topping success. A country traditionalist\, Moore is a vivid storyteller with a signature Arkansas-bred twang. His latest single\, With a Woman You Love\, celebrates a cowboy being tamed by finding that special person. Moore’s hit\, The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home\, a heartfelt tribute to American soldiers who didn’t return from active duty\, peaked at number one on Mediabase and Billboard. He has shared the stage with Hank Williams Jr.\, Brad Paisley\, Miranda Lambert and routinely traverses coast-to-coast on headline runs. In 2021\, when we were forced to slow down\, Moore once again hit number one with We Didn’t Have Much\, a song that resonated with fans as a reminder to take stock of what’s important in life. Make no mistake\, Moore will touch your heart\, but he knows how to bring the party. The riverfront will celebrate with his toast to life\, Why We Drink\, and the unruly anthem\, Straight Outta The Country.
