SUMMARY:Justin Moore
DESCRIPTION:Centennial Terrace | 7:30 p.m.\nOnline at www.etix.com or Stranahan Theater Box office 419-381-8851.\nBUY TICKETS \nOpening act: Triston Marez \nChart-topping powerhouse Justin Moore proves that\, through all the fame and success\, he’s still just the same country boy he’s always been on his stellar new album\, ‘Late Nights and Longnecks.’ Tipping its cap to Alan Jackson and George Strait\, the record is Moore’s most traditional-sounding collection to date\, a no-frills portrait of small-town life and big-time dreams that’s not afraid to let its hair down and party at the end of a hard day’s work. Equal parts celebration and reflection\, the album is a showcase for Moore’s evocative storytelling and unforgettable voice\, complemented by an all-star band featuring GRAMMY and CMA Award-winning guitar icon Brent Mason ACMwinning pedal steel hero Pau Franklin among others. \nAn Arkansas native who grew up idolizing Dwight Yoakam and Keith Whitley\, Moore knows a thing or two about hit records himself. After signing to The Valory Music Co.\, an imprint of the Big Machine Label Group\, he landed his first country #1 with “Small Town USA\,” the breakout single off his 2009 self-titled debut. The record went platinum\, as did its 2011 follow-up\, ‘Outlaws Like Me\,’ which yielded yet another #1 single with “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away.” In 2014\, Moore landed the coveted New Artist of the Year trophy at the ACM Awards after releasing his critically acclaimed third album\, ‘Off The Beaten Path\,’ and in 2016\, he dropped ‘Kinda Don’t Care\,’ his third consecutive #1 record. The New York Times hailed Moore as proof that “old forms can stand even stronger with injections of new ideas\,” while Billboard celebrated his “downhome personality and wry sense of humor\,” and Rolling Stone praised the “upbeat mix of contemporary country and honest twang that he perfected.” Moore’s songs racked up more than a billion on-demand and programmed streams\, and he performed everywhere from Kimmel to The Today Show in addition to headlining arenas and amphitheaters around the country. \nTickets prices are: P1 $65 / P2 $55 & General Admission $35 advance\, $40 day of show\, if available. \n\nAdditional Show Info: MASKS REQUIRED.  Doors @ 6:30pm / No outside food or beverage / Rain or Shine event / Umbrellas not permitted / Parking $5 (Centennial Lot) / Smoking allowed in designated areas only.

SUMMARY:Put-in-Bay Historical Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Put-in-Bay | September 11-12 \nIf you love great summer weather and good times\, and you’re also a history buff\, this is the Put-in-Bay Ohio weekend for you. Put-in-Bay Historical Weekend is a grand occasion where the island remembers its incredible place in American history with reenactments\, live entertainment\, and art. It’s an excellent opportunity to have fun\, learn\, and enjoy Put-in-Bay for a weekend. \nThe Battle of Lake Erie\nThe War of 1812 was not going particularly well for the fledgling nation of America prior to September 10\, 1813. The British mounted many successful campaigns against America in 1812\, including the Siege of Detroit\, which led to Detroit being surrendered to the British. One of the big reasons Britain had so much success in their campaigns in the area was their control of Lake Erie. Control would be wrestled away\, however\, on that fateful day. Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry commanded a fleet of 9 United States Navy vessels as they captured the 6 vessel fleet the British Royal Navy had positioned in Lake Erie. This victory allowed America to control Lake Erie for the remainder of the war. American forces reclaimed Detroit within days of this victory. The war continued for another two years. However\, the Battle of Lake Erie is what placed America back on equal footing. It was the major turning point in the conflict\, and it all happened at Put-in-Bay Ohio. \nPut-in-Bay Historical Weekend\nSome of the events of this fantastic weekend include a military encampment in the style of the War of 1812. This will be located all weekend at Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial. A visit to the monument is of course also a great way\, perhaps the best way\, to learn more about the Battle of Lake Erie. There will also be over 1\,000 Boy Scouts camping at the Memorial on the east lawn for their camporee event. They will learn about the history of the Battle of Lake Erie during their stay. \nArt in the Park\nArt In The Park is an excellent event during the Put-in-Bay Historical Weekend. DeRivera Park welcomes dozens of artisans and craftspeople to share their love of art with the community. You can come to the park and just enjoy their work and exhibits. There will also be works available for purchase that can act as the perfect souvenir to take home with you\, either for yourself or as a gift for the family. Art In The Park will also feature a silent auction. Beautiful pieces of island artwork will be available in this auction\, which benefits the Put-in-Bay Arts Council. It’s a great way to get an awesome Put-in-Bay souvenir while also supporting a cause worth supporting. \nThe best part of Art In The Park\, however\, may be the live demonstrations. Bring the whole family and learn how to perform different types of art in hands-on demonstrations by island artists. A full event schedule will be available closer to the event. It will run from 10 AM to 5 PM in beautiful DeRivera Park right in the heart of downtown Put-in-Bay. Admission is free\, and you can come and go as you please to enjoy the great shopping and many fantastic restaurants across the street in downtown Put-in-Bay! \nDon’t forget that Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial is open all summer. So if you can’t make it for the Put-in-Bay Historical Weekend\, you can still come and learn about this fascinating piece of naval history!

SUMMARY:ProMedica Concert Series - Third Eye Blind
DESCRIPTION:Promenade Park | 6:15 p.m. \nGates open at 5 p.m. \nHaving emerged from the late-90s post-grunge scene\, Third Eye Blind is known for their brighter take on grunge sounds\, often borrowing themes from classic rock and pop chords. The band\, which debuted their single ‘Semi-Charmed Life’ in 1997 to critical acclaim\, quickly rose to fame and eventually went on to win the 1997 Billboard Music Award for Best Modern Rock Track. Building on their impactful initial success\, Third Eye Blind released a number of singles following 1997’s ‘Semi-Charmed Life\,’ three of which reached the Top 10 charts. They also toured with bands such as U2 and Oasis before their Bonfire Tour across the US in 1998 and releasing their second album\, Blue\, in 1999. \nIn more recent years\, the band has toured and performed at festivals such as Bonnaroo in Tennessee\, Life is Beautiful in Las Vegas\, Reading Festival in the United Kingdom\, and In the Mix in the Philippines. Third Eye Blind live performances are noted as impressive for their meticulous use of lighting to set the mood for each individual song and for their high-energy interaction with audiences. Their Blessed by the Gods tour in 2017 received positive reviews for an impressive setlist that perfectly mixed songs from each era of their career. Go strong for over two decades\, Third Eye Blind broke their own attendance records with 2019’s Summer Gods tour. Although they had to cancel their 2020 tour due to the pandemic\, they never stopped the music. Playing virtual shows and a special drive-in show they kept their connection with their fans and continue to build momentum.

SUMMARY:Train
DESCRIPTION:Toledo Zoo Amphitheater | 7:30 p.m. \nTrain is a multi-Grammy and Billboard award-winning band from San Francisco\, CA that has had 14 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 list since the release of their debut self-titled album. Train’s climb to the top began in San Francisco in 1994\, going on to tenaciously building a loyal following\, leading up to their own self-titled debut album\, released by Columbia in 1998. The tumbling wordplay of “Meet Virginia” gave them their first radio hit and 2001’s Drops Of Jupiter broke them to multi-platinum status thanks to the double-GRAMMY award-winning title song that spent 10 months in the Top 40\, and snaring the Best Rock Song GRAMMY award by beating out Coldplay and two U2 songs. The group won another GRAMMY award in 2011 for their global hit “Hey Soul Sister\,” the #1 best-selling smash and most downloaded single of 2010\, from their multi-platinum album Save Me\, San Francisco. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNext was 2012’s California 37\, which launched the hit “Drive By” reaching the Top 10 in 13 countries. They’ve sold more than 10 million albums worldwide\, more than 30 million tracks\, with multiple platinum/gold citations\, including 3 GRAMMY awards\, 2 Billboard Music Awards\, and dozens of other honors. In 2014 Bulletproof Picasso — the band’s 7th studio album — debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200 and earned rave reviews.
