SUMMARY:Live at the Library with Lilli Lewis
DESCRIPTION:Toledo Lucas County Public Library welcomes all to our concert series\, Live at the Library\, a series featuring musical talent as they tour the country. This November\, we welcome Lilli Lewis. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nKnown as New Orleans’ “Folk Rock Diva\,” Lilli Lewis is a powerhouse composer\, pianist\, and performer who has spent over two decades bending genre to her will—gliding effortlessly between folk\, soul\, gospel\, country\, and jazz. Classically trained as an opera singer and pianist\, and shaped by New Orleans legends like Dirty Dozen Brass Band’s Kirk Joseph\, Lewis brings a rare combination of technical mastery and raw\, unfiltered emotion to every song she sings. \nLewis’s acclaim speaks for itself. NPR’s Jewly Hight has praised her “storytelling with transformative empathy and classically trained poise\,” while The Kennedy Center has called her a “powerhouse performer adding her unique voice and talent to the national discussion of the state of social justice in America.” Her album Americana earned raves across the board\, with critics celebrating its jaw-dropping vocals and sharp\, unflinching lyricism as one of the standout records of its year. Her music has been championed by NPR\, Rolling Stone\, and Offbeat Magazine\, cementing her place as one of Americana music’s most vital and distinctive voices. \nJoin us for an electric evening with an artist who has earned national recognition for her voice\, her artistry\, and her fearless commitment to telling stories that matter. \nFood Truck: TBD

SUMMARY:Live at the Library with Redd & The Paper Flowers
DESCRIPTION:Toledo Lucas County Public Library welcomes all to our concert series\, Live at the Library\, a series featuring international musical talent. This October\, we welcome Redd & The Paper Flowers. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nRedd and The Paper Flowers is a Knoxville\, Tennessee band redefining what folk music can feel like. Blending Appalachian folk\, jazz\, and bluegrass into a genre they’ve coined “Living Room Folk\,” the group made up of Redd Daugherty (guitar\, vocals)\, Gavin Gregg (mandolin\, vocals)\, Katie Adams (upright bass\, vocals)\, and Colleen d’Alelio (cello\, vocals)—creates the kind of warm\, intimate sound that makes a packed room feel like a cozy night in with old friends. \nThe band’s story is as compelling as their music. Their acclaimed debut album\, Appalachian Bell Jar\, released in May 2025\, is a heartfelt testament to East Tennessee and the beauty and struggles of Appalachia\, drawing on the group’s own experiences of loss\, resilience\, and community. That authenticity comes through in every performance\, as their tight harmonies and rich instrumentation pull listeners in and hold them close. With a sophomore album\, Dead Little Thing\, already in the works for a fall 2026 release\, this is a band on the rise. This is your chance to watch them before the rest of the country catches on. \nJoin us for an evening of soulful storytelling\, gorgeous harmonies\, and the cozy\, living-room magic that has made Redd and The Paper Flowers one of Knoxville’s most beloved rising acts.
