SUMMARY:Hotel California
DESCRIPTION:Centennial Terrace | 8 p.m. \nTickets at ticketmaster.com or Huntington Center box office. \nTicket prices:\n• Limited Golden Circles: $38 (rows 1- 5)\n• Reserved: $30.50\n• General Admission: Advance $25/ General Admission Day of GA $28 \nAdditional Show Info: Doors @ 6:30pm / No outside food or beverage / Small folding chairs allowed (General Admission area) / Rain or Shine event / Umbrellas not permitted / Parking $10 (Centennial Lot) / Smoking allowed in designated areas only \nWhen The Eagles stopped to catch their breath a few decades ago\, having sold over 100 million records\, collected six Grammy’s\, and enjoyed six #1 albums\, Hotel California began a pioneering journey through their history-making music that has taken them around the globe and thrilled hundreds of thousands of Eagles fans. It’s been a journey they could never have imagined back in 1986\, but their dedication\, unique musical gifts\, and an obsessive commitment to doing this legendary music true justice in performance\, set them apart from the many Eagles bands that came after them. Hotel California toured relentlessly from the 80’s straight through to today\, setting the standard for world-class tribute productions as they went\, and sharing stages with the likes of The Doobie Bros.\, Lynyrd Skynyrd\, Gretchen Wilson\, REO Speedwagon\, and many more. From Japan to Dubai\, Toronto to Texas\, Hotel California has boldly taken the tribute band where none had gone before them and changed an industry’s collective mind about how good a “tribute” band could really be. Today Hotel California continues to tour internationally\, and their stage show has evolved into one of the most impressive and popular productions on the North American soft-seat and festival circuits. Featuring original members within their strongest lineup to date\, the band is enjoying what they do today more than ever – and it sure sounds like it! It won’t take you long to hear why legions of Eagles fans come back to see them time after time\, and the top venues & festivals have them back again and again. The easy-going warmth that comes from the band onstage exemplifies the Southern California sound of the 1970’s. The experience of a Hotel California show isn’t just about the band – it’s about celebrating the music and the memories\, and the band gets the audiences involved and on their feet! Close your eyes and you’re right back there.

Van Halen\, KISS\, Motley Crue\, Queen\, Journey\, and Aerosmith are but a few of the acts fans will see brought to life. The Hairball stage becomes an entirely new rock concert before your very eyes countless times throughout the night. The motor that drives the Hairball dragster consists of HBK on the electric bass\, Billy on the drums\, and Happy on the lead guitar. These Rock & Roll soldiers pride themselves on nailing some of the most memorable licks and chops of all-time while adding their own style and flare that they’ve cultivated over decades of tireless performing. This isn’t a side job. These guys eat\, sleep and breathe Rock & Roll! 2024 finds Hairball celebrating its 24th year of rocking hundreds of thousands of people across the country. Constantly adding more characters\, more pyrotechnics\, more lights\, more sound\, more props\, more surprises…more everything! That first show changed my life. We thought our band would last maybe a summer at the most but it’s a very addictive thing performing these songs. The concerts grew and grew\, and we’ve ended up playing and selling out the same arenas that Queen played at their peak. It’s been quite surreal.” The band’s reputation continued to grow both in the UK and abroad leading to an awards ceremony in Leicester Square\, hosted by Suggs from Madness who presented them with the award for “Worldwide Best Tribute Band”. \nQuotes:\n“Concerts as near to the real thing as you’re likely to get. A real-life Bohemian Rhapsody. Freddie Lives! A Pop Legend Is back” – The People \n“The fabulous Killer Queen came on stage. What an impact! Mirage or Resurrection? The group voted best tribute in the world entirely succeeded in resurrecting Freddie Mercury both physically and vocally. You almost believe you were at Wembley Stadium back in 1986.” – Voix Du Nord \n

SUMMARY:Three Dog Night
DESCRIPTION:Stranahan Theater | 7: 30 p.m. \nDoors: 6:30 p.m. \nTickets: $44 to $204 at etix.com and Stranahan Theater box office. \nLegendary band\, THREE DOG NIGHT\, now in its 5th decade\, claims some of the most astonishing statistics in popular music. In the years 1969 through 1974\, no other group achieved more top 10 hits\, moved more records\, or sold more concert tickets than THREE DOG NIGHT. \nTHREE DOG NIGHT hits weave through the fabric of pop culture today\, whether on the radio where they are heard day in and day out\, in TV commercials or in major motion pictures–songs like “Mama Told Me (Not To Come)”\, “Joy to the World”\, “Black and White”\, “Shambala” and “One” serve to heighten our emotions and crystallize THREE DOG NIGHT’s continuing popularity. \nBoasting chart and sales records that remain virtually unmatched in popular music\, THREE DOG NIGHT had 21 consecutive Top 40 hits\, including 3 #1 singles\, 11 Top 10’s\, 18 straight Top 20’s\, 7 million-selling singles and 12 straight RIAA Certified Gold LPs. The hits appeared on best-selling charts in all genres (pop\, rock\, and country). Its records continue to sell around the world\, reaching beyond the borders of the U.S. into Japan\, Canada\, Holland\, England\, Germany\, Spain and elsewhere. Tens of millions of THREE DOG NIGHT records have been sold through the years. \nCreated in 1968 by Danny Hutton\, THREE DOG NIGHT maintains an aggressive\, year-round touring schedule of over 90 dates a year\, performing their hit filled concerts for multi-generational audiences. The band’s now-famous name refers to native Australian hunters in the outback who huddled with their dogs for warmth on cold nights; the coldest being a “three dog night”. \nThe band recorded songs of the best and largely undiscovered new songwriters of its time including Harry Nilsson\, Randy Newman\, Elton John\, Laura Nyro\, Paul Williams and Hoyt Axton among many others. The group’s eclectic taste\, combined with its ability to recognize and record hits in a unique\, distinctive\, and appealing style\, resulted in THREE DOG NIGHT dominating the charts for years. The band’s music transcends time\, bringing together both new and longtime audiences alike. \nTHREE DOG NIGHT demonstrates its eclectic song choices once again with the new material being recorded for an upcoming album release. One of the new tracks\, “Prayer of the Children” was discovered by Hutton who created an acappella arrangement\, so that for the first time in the history of THREE DOG NIGHT\, the vocals of all six members of the band are featured. The song is currently part of their live concert set and quickly becoming an audience favorite. \nMarking over 50 years on the road\, THREE DOG NIGHT continues to grow its fan base by keeping up a full schedule of concerts at theatres\, performing arts centers\, fairs\, festivals\, corporate events\, and casinos. Since 1986\, the band has performed nearly 3\,000 shows including two Super Bowls.
