Fiona Newt\, the enthusiastic and tightly-wound planner of this gathering\, has carefully designed every moment to make sure all the Forest Folk and humans have a great time! Led by the kind and insightful Alex Barlow\, the humans are sure to be respectful guests and will definitely not cause any kind of culture wars. Just keep an eye on the nefarious Sidney Tower… \nImportant information for our travelers (attendees):\n*Travelers are encouraged to dress in their favorite fantasy attire\, but it’s not required. DESCRIPTION:Treasures Unearthed\, The Toledo Gem and Rockhound Club’s (TGRC) 53rd annual rock\, gem & jewelry show returns to Bowling Green\, OH\, from September 6 through 8\, 2024\, at the Wood County Fairgrounds. More than 30 vendors will be bringing breath-taking gems\, glorious crystals and rare specimens from around the world. Artists will display and offer their hand-made jewelry creations.\nLive demonstrations include Extreme Beaders making ornate\, intricate jewelry by hand\, using beads and gemstones. Ancient tool-making techniques will be shown by flint artisan Steve Laut\, who makes knives and arrowheads from stone.\nVisitors are also invited to bring their unidentified stones to “What’s My Rock?” Geology students from Bowling Green State University will work to identify if the samples are jewels or junk.\nEducational events for youths include make-and-take gem tree creation\, a treasure hunt with prizes\, and ultra-violet experiments with mysterious rocks that glow in unearthly colors.\nWith all the gems\, crystals\, fossils\, rocks and jewelry specimens on display from around the world\, visitors will enjoy literally tons of fun!\n“Treasures Unearthed” will be open:\n• Friday September 6 from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM\n• Saturday September 7 from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM\n• Sunday September 8 from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM
