Hands to Larger Service Day invites 4-H advisors, members, their families and the general public to join together for an afternoon of community service. More than a dozen local organizations will benefit from the activities planned for the day, including braiding pet toys and jump ropes, packaging meal kits to feed 20,000 individuals, building 50 beds for area youths to have their own beds, planting small flower pots and writing cards for Honor Flight and home-bound seniors.

The open-house style event is hosted by the Wood County Clover Legacy Foundation, Wood County 4-H Committee, and Ohio State University Extension-Wood County 4-H, Volunteers interested in helping package meals or build beds need to register in advance at https://www.cloverlegacy.org/serviceday.html. Other community service activities are ongoing from 1-4 p.m.
