Toledo Zoo Dart Frog Dash

Dart Frog Dash presented by Buckeye Broadband is a rain or shine event.
The Toledo Zoo’s Dart Frog Dash presented by Buckeye Broadband offers fun for all ages! Choose from a competitive 5K race with prizes or a relaxed 5K walk, a Kids’ Fun Run and an inclusive Zoo For All Walk. The 5K course takes participants through the neighborhood to the west of the Zoo, through the Zoo’s Tembo Trail and ends in the Main Plaza. The Kids’ Fun Run and Zoo For All Walk take place within the safety of Zoo grounds.
Admission and parking is included in registration. Participants for all races should park in the Anthony Wayne Trail lot.
Spectator Pricing
Race spectators who are members may enter free of charge. Spectators who are not members will need to pay the following reduced admission cost:
Adults: $16
Children: $13
Seniors: $13

Group registration is available for the Dart Frog Dash 5K and Zoo For All Walk. Contact 419-385-5721, ext. 2078 to set up.

We are working with the Toledo Police Department to ensure that street closures follow a “rolling pattern” so that as the last participant passes, the street will reopen and traffic will return to normal as quickly as possible. Please make adjustments to your schedule to avoid any inconvenience.
5k Run or Walk, 8:30 a.m.
Location: South/historic side of the Zoo
Participants receive:
- Race bib with chip timing
- Event t-shirt guaranteed if registered by May 4
- Age group awards
- End of race refreshments
- Toledo Zoo admission and parking for the day!
Kids’ Fun Run, 9:45 a.m.
Location: within Zoo grounds, starting line at Splash Pad and race will conclude in front of the Koi pond, near the Aquarium
Participants receive:
- Event t-shirt guaranteed if registered by May 4
- Finisher ribbon
- End of race refreshments
- Zoo admission for the day!
Zoo For All Walk, 9 a.m.
This is a noncompetitive, accessible walk for all! The Toledo Zoo understands that some guests may require assistance/additional accommodations. Participants will experience a safe route within Zoo grounds.
Location: North side of Zoo
Check in: Polar Bear fountain in Blade Plaza
Participants receive:
- Event t-shirt guaranteed if registered by May 4
- Walk admission with custom race bib
- Giraffe feed coupon (at finish line)
- Finisher ribbon
- Post event celebration including fruit, water, music with ASL interpretation and special performance by iDance Adaptive Performing Arts Center
