Sylvania Nite Lite Farmers Market
Downtown Sylvania | 3 p.m.
The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce presents the inaugural Nite Lite Farmers Market presented by Sofo’s Italian Market and Dave White Chevrolet in Historic Downtown Sylvania under the overhead canopy of lights along Main Street.
The first hour from 3 pm-4 pm is intended for compromised shoppers. The Sylvania Nite Lite Farmers Market will feature 40 local booths consisting of home-grown produce, hand-made products, and other essential items. The booths will line the first and second blocks of Main Street in Downtown Sylvania. Each booth will be 7 feet apart to ensure proper social distancing. The market will also feature 4 food trucks including Koral Hamburg, Leaf and
Seed, Petey’s Donuts, and Old Tyme Kettle Korn.
The team at the Sylvania Chamber is ensuring safety is a priority at this Farmers Market. The event was fully approved by the Lucas County Health Department, the Ohio Department of Agriculture, and the City of Sylvania. The market will have one-way foot traffic flow, require all staff, volunteers and vendors to wear a mask, and provide ample hand sanitizing stations.
Volunteers will be on hand to ensure routine cleaning of tables and restroom facilities. High touch activities have been taken into consideration. For example, instead of a traditional pumpkin patch, the Sylvania Nite Lite Farmers Market will provide 150 pumpkin treat bags complete with a pie size pumpkin and stickers to decorate. Treat Bags are complimentary and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at 4 pm.
Trick or Treat on Main Street will take place from 6 pm-8 pm. Families and children in costumes are encouraged. Candy will be available from the Sylvania Township Fire Department and farmers market booth vendors. Candy will be available until it runs out.
The market will feature live music from Mikes with Mics from 3 pm-9 pm. Sylvania’s Nite Lite Farmers Market was created to provide the Sylvania community and beyond with a healthy outdoor environment, a healthy opportunity to purchase produce & foods, and a healthy arrangement of vendors while showcasing our commitment to the Sylvania community.
