Doc’s Productions and The Open Arms Group are organizing a free Jazz festival to end the summer months for our great city, Toledo. This festival will pay homage to some of the world’s greatest influences in jazz, such as Art Tatum, Jon Hendricks, Claude Black, Cliff Murphy, Leon Cook, Jimmy Cook, Tony Ben, Cass Harris, Joan Russell and Rusty Monroe. This festival will tie in with a brand new, large-scale, permanent, public art exhibit in the newly renovated Glass City Convention Center honoring those same and many more musicians and club owners who created a rich and lively Jazz scene in Toledo.

The day will include music from five bands representing Toledo, Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
The schedule:
1:00 pm – Andre Wright Featuring Alexis Lombre
2:15 pm – 6th Edition
3:30 pm- Mike Cady & Friends
4:45 pm- Damen Cook & Friends
6:00 pm – Kenny Blake

“Camp Courageous” and “Be Instrumental” will be on hand to bring awareness, assistance and interactive activities to festival attendees. Local vendors will sell jewelry, clothes, homemade spices, and much more. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for sale on site.
We aim to bring a day of fun and relaxation to forget about our everyday problems and enjoy a small moment in life. This event will bring people from all backgrounds together to share and express love through the one thing we all have in common – the love of music.
