The Blade’s 37th annual Northwest Ohio Rib Off, presented by Dunn Chevy Buick in Oregon. Plenty of mouth-watering ribs will be available from a dozen pit-masters from Toledo to Texas. The event is part of the National Barbecue Cookers Association. All NBCA members are certified Food Safety Professionals.
Friday, July 30
8 p.m.: The popular classic rock band Kansas, which has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide including eight gold albums, three sextuple-platinum albums (Leftoverture, Point of Know Return, Best of Kansas), one platinum live album (Two for the Show), and two one million-selling gold singles, “Carry On Wayward Son” and “Dust in the Wind.”
Opening act: HighLife.
Saturday, July 31
8 p.m.: Country music’s Chase Rice, an American singer, songwriter, and reality television personality. Rice is also a former college football linebacker for the University of North Carolina and former NASCAR pit crew member for Hendrick Motorsports. His single “Eyes on You” became a No. 1 country hit on May 6, 2019.
Opening act: Sean Stemaly.
Sunday, August 1
Family Day, sponsored by Epworth United Methodist Church in Toledo.
Sunday admission is only $5 per family.
5 p.m.: Satisfaction, a Rolling Stones tribute band, will perform, recreating one of the most legendary rock ’n’ roll sounds of the last four decades.
Tickets for Friday and Saturday are $16 in advance, $20 at the door, and $45 for reserved seating. (Free admission until 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.)
