This is an inclusive event and staff are trained and ready to make accommodations. A quiet and low sensory zone will be available at the Glass City Pavilion.

GLOWtacular Paddle on the Maumee River [Ages 12 and Up]

Light up the night with a glow paddle on the Maumee River. Deck out your boat with lights and glow items for a unique glow experience. Paddlers will launch at Middlegrounds Metropark and paddle down to Glass City Metropark, where you have the option to get out and explore Glass City GlOW-tacular, a free event with glow rock climbing, glow mountain biking, glow roller skating, glow disc golf, and more!
Participants must bring their own boat. For safety, all participants must paddle with another participant and will not be permitted to paddle alone. This is a self-guided paddle, not a group paddle.
According to law, all boats must have a source of white light that can be turned on in sufficient time to avoid collisions. Well-fitted personal flotation devices are required at all times on the water. Kayaks and canoes only. All paddlers must be at Middlegrounds by 8 pm to launch. The gate will close at 8 pm for inbound traffic. All boats must be off the water by 11:00 pm. On-water safety provided in partnership with US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Wood County Park District, and Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
