Step into nature and discover all of the activities Metroparks has to offer to get you outside this season. This event launches a new collaborative campaign between Metroparks Toledo and Mercy Health that promotes the power of parks in improving the community’s mental and physical well-being.

From the exhilarating thrill of tree climbing, to the calming embrace of eco-therapy, Outdoor Discovery Day invites everyone—regardless of ability—to explore the great outdoors. Metroparks outdoor experts will be on hand to guide you in discovering your next outdoor passion, while Mercy Health professionals will showcase how time in nature supports mental and physical health. Mercy Health will also offer on-site health screenings and resources, including the mobile mammography van.

This is an inclusive event with staff trained to provide accommodations, including a low sensory zone and adaptive equipment for all abilities. Activities will include:

Volunteers Needed (Ages 16 and up)

Volunteers are needed to assist with outdoor skills including archery, paddling, and in the kid’s zone. Assistance is also needed with set-up and teardown.
