6th Annual 419 Music Fest Supports Local Fire Departments’ H.E.R.O. Program

Get ready to rock out and support a heartwarming cause! The 6th annual 419 Music Fest, organized by the Springfield Township  & Sylvania Township fire departments, is happening on September 21, 2024! This free-entry concert kicks-off at noon at Community Homecoming Park, 7807 Angola Road, in Holland, OH and jams all the way until 11pm with live bands hitting the big stage hourly. Feast your ears on ten of the hottest bands while your tastebuds savor scrumptious food, beers, and beverages from local food trucks in this outdoor community event.

But wait, it’s not just about fun and food; this festival has a fiery heart! According to event director Todd Boatfield, “The 419 Music Fest is hosted by the heroes at the Springfield Township and SylvaniTownship fire departments to raise awareness and funds for our H.E.R.O. Program*. The program aims to assist those in our communities who may experience unmet needs and health-related concerns. Our departments work with the residents, providers, insurance companies, and other partner agencies to find solutions and help individuals lead safer, healthier lives.”

Along with supporting the H.E.R.O. Program, in solidarity with Toledo Firefighters Union Local 92 whose members suddenly lost beloved firefighter and paramedic Pvt. Sterling “Butch” Rahe earlier this year, a percentage of the 2024 event proceeds will be offered in support of his family.

Boatfield added, “Throughout the event, attendees will be given opportunities to offer support to the cause. So, c’mom Northwest Ohio, let’s come together for a day of beats, eats, and noble feats! Join us September 21st, and make a difference having fun and rocking out at the 419 Music Fest!”

*HERO (Health Education, Resources, and Outreach) Program is a voluntary, non-emergency program that is open to all communities served by the Springfield Township and Sylvania Township fire departments. The goal of the program is to assist residents to have safe living in their homes. The H.E.R.O. program addresses issues such as frequent falls, medical education and assistance for chronic medical diagnoses, access to resources, installation of grab bars and other mobility aids, and advocacy to ensure the resident can obtain the needed resources.
