Toledo Jazz Festival presents The Four Freshmen & Five Trombones.

Come hear the legendary Four Freshmen, the group the Beach Boys most wanted to sound like. In addition to performing many of their hits, the group will be performing arrangements from the historic recording “Four Freshmen & Five Trombones”. The trombones include Toledo Jazz Festival director Ron Kischuk, former Count Basie soloist and arranger Dennis Wilson, bass trombonist from the bands of Duke Ellington and Ray Charles, Edward Gooch and soloist from the Roy Hargrove Big Band, Vincent Chandler. This performance is a tribute to longtime Freshmen supporter and Toledo jazz enthusiast Mel Meyers who left us this past summer.
